Advanced Materials Publishes ECUST Research Progress of Aging Bone Repair Materials 

Recently, the research group of Academician Liu Changsheng, Professor Yuan Yuan and Professor Ayla Zhang, ECUST, reported an injectable PEGS-PGA/SeSe/Rapa (PSeR) loaded with polydiselenide micelles containing rapamycin, which can be used to regulate the level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the microenvironment of bone regeneration in the elderly in many dimensions and restore the regeneration potential of bone tissue in the elderly. This research article was published in Advanced Materials with the title “Rejuvenatingaged bone repair through multihierarchy reaction oxygen species-regulatedhydrogel”.

The article is first authored by Doctoral candidate He Zirui of School of Materials Science and Engineering, ECUST, co-first authored by Doctoral candidate Sun Chuanhao and co-corresponding authored by Professor Zhang Yan, Professor Yuan Yuan and Academician Liu Changsheng of ECUST. This research was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Plan and the Basic Science Center of the National Natural Science Foundation.
